We are seeking a candidate to join our team of Airfield Operations and Fire Officers. Working a regular alternate weekend shift plus additional ad-hoc cover, 7 day flexibility is essential. The ideal candidate will be pro-active, safety conscious and hard working. Following training, you will work alongside colleagues to provide airfield maintenance duties (grass cutting, painting, strimming etc), aircraft and helicopter fuelling and provide the Airports Rescue and Fire Fighting response.

Hours: An 8hr shift every other weekend, plus attendance at all training sessions which are held approximately once per month during weekdays. Additional ad-hoc shifts available. Flexibility an advantage.
Term: Initial 6 month period with potential to extend to permanent part time position.
Remuneration: On application.
Location: City Airport & Heliport (Barton Aerodrome).
Responsibilities: Conduct airfield buildings and grounds maintenance work as required. Conduct aircraft fuelling and perform aircraft Fire and Rescue duties (training is provided). Adhere to all safety and legislative requirements. Undertake Appointed Persons First Aid.
Minimum Requirements: Must be 18yrs +. Clean Driving Licence. CRB Check will be carried out. Must be medically fit for manual work (a basic medical will be required). Previous experience in grounds/buildings/equipment/mechanical maintenance or similar would be an advantage. Must be very reliable with a positive attitude towards flexible working within the role.
