City Airport & Heliport Recruitment Day

We are holding a recruitment drop in morning on Saturday 21st July, 10am-12pm. Interested candidates may call in at any time during this period for a 10 minute short informal interview for the roles below. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to return for a full interview. Pre-registration is not required. On arrival you will be registered and given a time slot for your interview.

We are looking for suitable candidates for the following roles;

Airport Operations/Admin Officers – 20 hours/week Contract (minimum 6 month term). Rate of pay £7.61-£8.80 per hour dependant on experience.

Working 20 hours per week on a fully flexible basis, this role requires a candidate who is flexible to work a variable rota to support a 7 day operation, generally between 8am-8pm plus additional ad-hoc late evening cover which may be at short notice as requested. The role primarily includes covering the Airport and Heliport reception, providing excellent customer service, taking telephone and face to face enquiries, processing payments, and providing operational support. Additional duties will include operational and event support which may involve manual labour, aircraft fuelling (following training) and assisting the Duty Flight Information Service Officer within the Control Tower. Short notice flexibility absolutely essential. A driving licence and access to vehicular transport required.

Airport Event Crew Lead – 4 hours/week Contract (minimum 6 month term). Rate of pay £8.10 per hour.

Working on a fully flexible basis, this role requires a candidate who is able to support the Airport’s Events Coordinator in the set-up of events at the Airport, leading the Airport Events Crew to complete tasks as required for each event. Such tasks will involve directing others to complete tasks, plus manual outdoor work, crewing, including site set-up/take-down plus any other tasks as required to support each event. Additional hours may be needed as per event requirements. A driving licence and access to vehicular transport required.

Airport Event Crew – Zero Hour Contract. Rate of pay £5.90 – £7.83 per hour.

Working when required on a fully flexible basis (primarily weekends and evenings), this role requires a candidate who is able to support the Airport’s Events Coordinator in the set-up of events at the Airport. Such tasks will involve manual outdoor work, crewing, including site set-up/take-down plus any other tasks as required to support each event.

Minimum requirements – all roles.

All the above roles require the candidate to be aged 18yrs+. Eligibility to work in the UK. A DBS Check will be carried out. Candidates must be very reliable with a positive attitude towards flexible working within the role. A positive customer service attitude is essential.
